The AAFAI cartoon video maker turns a few lines of words into a short talking cartoon, in English or Nepali. Here is how to use it with children, what it keeps, and what to check first.
Getting started in two minutes
Open the video maker and tap one of the learning stories (Solar system, Adding numbers, Water cycle, English words, Kindness, Caring for nature).
Read it together. Change any words, pick a place and a cartoon friend, then press Make my video!
Watch it, then download it. Your video is deleted from our server as soon as you download it, or after 1 hour.
Children can also type their own words, record their own voice for a line, or build a longer story in the Cartoon Playground.
Ideas for the classroom or home
Retell a lesson. Ask children to write what Tiko the robot explains, in their own words.
Practise speaking. Children record their own voice for each line, then watch the cartoon speak it.
Two languages. Make the same short story in Nepali and in English and compare them.
Story building. Plan three scenes (beginning, problem, ending) in the Playground and save the story file to continue later.
Kindness and nature. Use the two ready stories as a talking point, then let children write their own ending.
Safety and privacy
No accounts. Children do not sign up and we do not ask for names, emails or ages.
We do not keep scripts, pictures or voice recordings. They are used to make the video and then removed.
Videos are temporary. Deleted after download, or after 1 hour.
A privacy reminder sits beside the writing box: no full names, school, address or phone numbers.
Grown-up settings (a folded section on the video maker) can ask a grown-up to approve before each video, and turn off voice recording and picture upload. They are saved only in that browser. They are a helper, not a lock: anyone using the same browser can change them.
No chat and no sharing between users. Nothing a child makes is shown to anyone else.
Please note: the site does not filter what children type, and it is not a moderated platform. A grown-up should stay close, especially with younger children.
Please check before you use it
The learning stories are short and simple. They were written quickly and have not been reviewed by a teacher or subject expert. Please check facts before using them in lessons.
The Nepali wording is a translation that has not been reviewed by a native speaker. We welcome corrections.
The voices are computer voices and sometimes mispronounce words, especially English words inside Nepali sentences.
